Notice of Council Tree Pruning Near Powerlines

As part of Victorian Government regulatory requirements, Merri-bek City Council is obligated under the Electrical Safety (Electric Line Clearance) Regulations 2015, to ensure that Council owned trees near powerlines are regularly inspected and maintained, for fire safety and continuity of electricity supply reasons.

In line with these requirements, Council has in place a regular, electric line clearance maintenance program.  We are planning to carry out tree pruning works within the next 14-60 days, in the following areas:

 BRUNSWICK, GLENROY, COBURG NORTH, PASCOE VALE & HADFIELD

Works will usually be performed during normal business hours.  Merri-bek City Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these works.
