Earlier this month, Coburg resident Caterina had a scary fall in her driveway, breaking her arm in 2 places!

Thankfully, Steve, a Merri-bek Waste Truck Driver with Citywide, was on his collection route and noticed her. He stopped his truck and took Caterina to her neighbours, ensuring she was okay and looked after.

At the end of his shift, Steve even drove back to check on her. Caterina’s daughter reached out to us to express her gratitude to Steve, saying, “If he hadn’t stopped, Mum would have been lying there waiting for someone to help.”

Caterina couldn't be more thankful for Steve's kindness.
