NORTH Link

NORTH Link is a regional partnership of industry, education, health and government and was established in 1995.

NORTH Link is a business network and a strong advocate for the regional economic development of Melbourne's north representing the cities of Merri-bek, Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Whittlesea and the Shires of Mitchell and Nillumbik including tertiary institutions and industry.

NORTH Link was established to support and advocate for Melbourne's north to achieve sustainable GDP growth by providing:

  • Regional advocacy to Federal and State Government for business and growth in Melbourne's north
  • Regional advocacy for infrastructure and investment attraction
  • Regional economic and industry research
  • Assistance to industry to improve business productivity and exporting capability
  • Regional tourism (visitor economy) marketing and promotion

Melbourne's North Food Group

The Melbourne’s North Food Group represents over 400 food, beverage and fibre manufacturers that employ over 10,000 people.

Data Analytics Hub

The North and West Melbourne Data Analytics Hub organises student placements with students from La Trobe, RMIT and Victoria Universities and Melbourne Polytechnic and Kangan Institute.

The placements can address a variety of business issues, including:

  • data capturing and measurement
  • definition, cleaning and governance of data
  • development and visualisation
  • statistical analysis and reporting
  • forecasting
  • basic machine learning
