Park improvements

An enclosed dog park was opened at Gilpin Park in July 2018. This is an area which is fenced off with a dual access gate entry. Signs at the entries provide clear guidelines about what is expected of owners and handlers and their dogs when they are at Gilpin Park, particularly inside the fenced area.

Dog walking pilot program

Gilpin park is part of our pilot program, testing changes on how we share our open space with dogs. This program will run for 6 months (July 2025 - early 2026).
