Making it in Merri-bek - Artist Toolkit: Develop your artist portfolio & writing skills with Bus Projects
Hosted in collaboration with Bus Projects, Artist Toolkit is a hands-on workshop aimed at early-career visual artists looking to develop their professional practice.
Over a 2-hour workshop led by Bus Projects Artistic Director Sophia Cai and Co-Chair Jenna Lee, participants will learn how to write artist biographies and artist statements, as well as practical tips for how to pitch your artistic portfolio to different audiences.
Bus Projects is one of Australia's longest running artist-run initiatives (ARIs). Since 2023, Bus has been located in Brunswick East. At the heart of what we do is the centering of artistic voices and agency as decision-makers.
