We are excited to again be able to offer residents of Merri-bek aged over 55 the opportunity to access our Outdoor Help and Garden Maintenance Program. Funds are limited and will be on a first come basis.

Our team is available to support you with the following tasks for up to $1000 per year, per household:

• General clean up including rubbish removal
• Garden clean up and weeding
• Removal of trees
• Pruning back hedges and trees
• Assistance with planting
• Building raised garden beds
• Landscaping

What's not included?

• Regular lawn mowing
• Paving

Eligibility criteria applies:

• Must be over 55 years
• On a low income - have a health care card, pension card or veteran affairs card
• Be residing in the home as an owner or renter
• Residence must be located in Merri-bek
• One application per household, per financial year
• If you accessed the program in 2023/2024 you will not be eligible until 2025/2026
• Not receiving funding for Outdoor Help through another program such as a Home Care Package or NDIS funding.
