Localise the Love Photography Exhibition
The Localise the Love photography exhibition will, like that of our previously run photography exhibition in 2019 and 2022 Faces Behind the Scene, focus on capturing portraits of business owners and operators along Sydney Road Brunswick.
The portraits will be coupled with short bio’s of the subjects and their connections to the business and area. The exhibition is designed to visually communicate the rich diversity of businesses and their backgrounds within the Sydney Road Brunswick precinct; conveying the stories of who they are and how they came to be.
The Sydney Road Brunswick precinct has over 525 businesses and behind each counter there is a person with a story to tell – this exhibition is designed to highlight and showcase that, reinforcing the need to support the local business community. Within the current climate, supporting local has never been more important.
SRBA looks forward to using this photography exhibition to, per previous years, tell the stories of those that make up the Sydney Road Brunswick precinct and create an emotional connection – this time in an exhibition space!
The Localise the Love photography exhibition will pop up at 49 Sydney Road Brunswick, for a 5 week exhibition, in the lead up to, during, and post the Sydney Road Street Party (Sunday 3 March 2024).
All photographs on display will be available for purchase, with all sale proceeds going back to the artist.
Exhibition will be on display and open to the public between Wednesday 28 February 2024, until Saturday 30 March 2024.
Week Day Open Times: Tuesday to Thursday, 10.30am to 3pm Weekend Open Times: Saturday, 11am to 2pm
